My Tricia, I have so many words and yet I have none. We have so many years of memories and I looked forward to making so many more. I will carry you in my heart forever. I love you so much.

Alors, Trish.  I am without words.  I will treasure our many memories together at Adelphi, in France and raising our children.  Your sense of humor and enormous heart have touched all of us.  Love to your beautiful family.

It is truly amazing how much one heart can impact so many. Thank you for everything Mrs. Latham. You will be missed by so many.

Tricia's Mom used to say, "Tricia was born with the natural equipment to be happy in all situations!"  Her Mom was correct, her thoughts were always uplifting and words chosen very carefully.
Tricia, you were very dear to me and my family, we were so fortunate to be part of your life.  God Bless You, God Bless your loving husband, daughters and all of your family.

Mrs. Latham was a wonderful teacher and friend. Her kindness and positivity radiated out to all those around her. I will never forget her great sense of humor, her love of classic TV/music, and how much she adored her family. Repose en paix.

Never underestimate the impact a teacher can have. Will always remember playing DDR in class (droit droit gauche gauche) and "I wash myself the face" (French grammar lesson) which saved my hide during my French immersion program in Nice in college!

There aren't enough words to express how much Mrs. Latham's sweet soul and wonderful heart impacted myself and others. She (fearlessly) taught a small class of us for four years (2006-2010) and between days of learning proper (but finicky) conjugations and French culture, I think we also learned how to be kind to one another, how to find humor in everyday situations, and how the classroom can become a family. 

Mrs. Latham was my one constant in high school; she was there for all my college application freak-outs, offered a shoulder to lean on during personal crises, and even wrote my college recommendation letter. Whenever I think of high school, her French class(es) are what I always remember first. 

The last time I visited her was in 2011, between my freshman and sophomore year of college, and her smile still lit up the entire room. She looked so good, so happy, laughing like always. As much as I wish I had more time and more visits, I'm so grateful that my last memory of her is one that truly captures who she was: warm, bright and full of joy. 

When speaking with my father about all of this, he told me something that I believe, above all else, rings true: "If nothing else, how much fondness you still have for her, how impacted you are from just the short time she was in your life, she did her job - as a teacher and as a person." 

I am sending all my love, thoughts and prayers to her and her family. Her memory, and lessons, will live on in all of us.
