It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul William Csorba, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 86. A resident of Port Jefferson Station, New York, Paul was born in Lenox, New York, on October 26, 1939, and grew up with a strong sense of community and family. He graduated from Commerce High School and went on to build a life full of love, hard work, and lasting memories.
Paul was a loving husband to his beautiful bride, Gail, with whom he shared a wonderful life together. They were blessed with five children—Matthew (Jennifer), Michael (MaryAnn), Laura (Dwayne), Paul Steven (Robin), and their beloved daughter Heather, who predeceased him. Paul was a dedicated father and cherished his children deeply. He also took immense joy in being a grandfather to Michael Christopher, Erica, Renee, Heidi, Paloma, Gretchen, Ilaria, and Wolfgang, and a great-grandfather to Leo, Eliza, and Lily. His love and pride for his family were evident to all who knew him.
Paul was a man of deep character and commitment. He worked as a postal worker for the United States Post Office, where he took great pride in his service to the community. His dedication to his work was a reflection of the care and responsibility with which he approached all aspects of his life.
Outside of work, Paul had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, always finding peace and joy in the thrill of the catch. A lifelong sports fan, Paul was a devoted follower of the New York Knicks and New York Yankees. He also found solace in reading, particularly religious books, and his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He enjoyed attending church, where he felt God’s love and shared in the fellowship of his community. Paul was also an avid walker, often strolling around Manhattan, and loved the challenge of completing crossword puzzles. A gifted violinist, Paul played music in his spare time, further enriching the lives of those around him.
Paul’s sense of patriotism was strong—he was a registered Republican who loved his country and always hoped for the best for it. He was also remembered for his gentle spirit, his integrity, and his kindness.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, Gail, and daughter, Heather, but is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Paula and Malvina, who will all miss him dearly. His legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
A visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25a, Miller Place, NY 11764, on December 4, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A religious ceremony to celebrate Paul’s life will take place on December 5, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Gerard Majella CCD, 300 Terryville Rd, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. The committal service will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727, at 12:00 pm.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
