Peter is reunited with his beloved wife, Mary, with whom he shared 53 beautiful years of marriage. Their love story began in Queens, New York, where they first met, and together they built a life rooted in devotion, faith, and unwavering commitment to family.
Peter was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Those who knew him would describe him as compassionate, devoted, gentle, hard-working, honest, humorous, kind-hearted, patient, selfless, thoughtful, and wise. His steady presence and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He is also reunited with his cherished daughter-in-law, Diana, who predeceased him.
Born to immigrant parents who came through Ellis Island, Peter was a proud first-generation American. He carried with him a deep appreciation for opportunity, hard work, and education. He graduated from Manhattan College in 1956, a milestone that reflected his determination and dedication. Peter went on to build a distinguished career with Grumman Aerospace Corporation, where he served as a Senior Systems Planner, contributing his talents and integrity to meaningful work.
Peter’s greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his loving children: Joseph (the late Diana) of Rocky Point and David (Cheryl) of Perkasie, PA. He was a proud grandfather to Justin, Jessica (Dan), Victoria, Kayla and Taylor. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Noah and Grace, who brought him immense pride and happiness.
Although miles sometimes separated him from his grandchildren, Peter never let distance diminish his love. He cherished every opportunity to speak with them and faithfully remembered each Valentine’s Day and birthday with thoughtful gifts—a tradition that reflected his generous and attentive heart.
Peter found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved golf, fishing, traveling, reading, listening to music, and bowling. Each spring, he looked forward to planting his garden, taking pride in nurturing it and harvesting vegetables throughout the summer months. In his younger years, he especially enjoyed relaxing in the backyard pool, creating lasting memories with family and friends.
A dedicated member of the Bellport Rotary, Peter valued the camaraderie and the opportunity to give back to his community. He took particular pride in contributing to the Rotary’s scholarship program, feeling deeply grateful to play a role in helping students pursue their college education and build their futures.
Peter’s life was a testament to faith, family, service, and quiet strength. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave so freely, and the countless memories shared by those who will forever hold him in their hearts.
