A native of Corona, NY, she married in 1946, and traveled the world with her husband who worked for the overseas division of General Motors, living in Puerto Rico, Beirut, London, and Athens, before the couple retired to Ridge in 1979.
An active volunteer throughout her life, she volunteered at St. Mark’s Church in Ridge where she was a long-time parishioner, and in women’s clubs and her children’s schools in the family’s overseas postings. She was a member of the America Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.
She loved the stage, acting in many community shows; enjoyed dancing and singing, playing golf, and participating in various clubs with her friends. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother.
