

Charlotte spent her early life in Millstadt, IL where she participated in cheerleading, student council, marching band, and graduated valedictorian from Belleville Township High School in 1962. She met and married her husband, Bob Muskopf, on September 20, 1964 after a whirlwind romance. She began her college career at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia and finished her Bachelors of Science degree at Southern Illinois University. She was a beloved 6th grade teacher at Millstadt Consolidated School for many years before becoming a mother of three daughters. The family moved to Dallas, TX in 1975 where she thrived as a homemaker, mother, teacher, seamstress, trumpet player, artist, science fiction enthusiast, and wife. After the passing of her husband in 2007, she moved to Minden, NV to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. She loved living out her final years at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains with her cats, Bob and Charlotte.
Charlotte was an active member of the Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL and Spring Valley United Methodist Church in Dallas, TX where she taught preschool, Sunday school, and played trumpet for the choir. She was a devoted child of God and often spoke of her close relationship with Him.
She is preceded in death by parents, Velma (Zentgraf) and Clarence Prater; husband Bob Muskopf, in-laws Amanda (Kirleis) and Floyd Muskopf, and sister Anna Lee Fischer (Prater). Survived by daughters, Susie (Anton) Kushlan, Sarah (Chris Stetler) Muskopf from Lake Tahoe, CA, and Jennifer Muskopf from Cornwall, VT; grandchildren, Amanda Muskopf, Dinah and Beatrice Whitmarsh, Owen Kushlan; in-laws, Tom Muskopf, Stan Fischer and other family members from IL.
