At age 98, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025. Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband, James Rieschl, and second husband, Harold Berger. While Bonnie enjoyed working in the corporate world (Montgomery Wards and Premier Dental Laboratory) and did so for many years, she is most remembered for her loving spirit of service, giving, and generosity. Throughout her life, she was committed to serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family and her community. She loved to gather with family and friends, cherishing time with them and embracing what mattered most in life. She spearheaded many good times with her culinary talents including starting the hot lunch program at Concordia Academy and at Villa Park Condos where she was an integral part of the Social Committee. She unselfishly volunteered many hours in service to her church and their schools; Veterans organizations (including serving as president of the Women's Auxiliary); and to the History Theatre.
A memorial worship service will be held for her on Easter Monday, April 21 at 11:00 AM at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2330 Dale Street North, Roseville, MN. Visitation will begin in the church narthex at 10:00 AM, A luncheon will follow the service with burial at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Minneapolis afterward.
