Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Edward was a WWII Veteran in the U.S. Navy and served as an aviation mechanic in the South Pacific. At seventeen, he started working for Twin City Bus Lines on the streetcar track and continued to work for MTC for 42 years. He was a talented fisherman, hunter and the "go to man". He is loved by his family, friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Tekla Jachymowski; brother, Raymond; sister, Virginia Fischer: and son-in-law, Thomas Perry. Ed will be deeply missed by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Florence (nee Knapik); children, James (Diane), Gaye Perry, Steven (Debi Starr), John (Sandy) and Paul (Stacy Hart); grandchildren, Tim (Dawn), Jill (Erik), Mandy, Jenny, Andy, Adam (Brenna), Angela and Holly; great-grandchildren, Joey, Kevin, Kelly, Dorothy, Brayden, Nicholas and Alex.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 7th at 11 a.m. with Visitation at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Funeral Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. in Minneapolis. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fairview Hospice, c/o Fairview Foundation, 2200 Riverside Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55454-1321.
