Preceeded in death by her husband Dick M. Schafer. Survived by daughters, Deanna Tuomie (Jack), MaeBeth Malmquist (Robert), Elisa Richardson; son, Richard (Ric) Schafer; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grand-children, 1 great-great grandchild, plus 3 more on the way. And many, many others who called her "Grandma."
She was the happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. The warmth of her presence will be missed, but her memory will live on.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Liz's honor be made to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Dr., Mounds View, MN 55112 (763-784-5120). Memorial Service Tuesday, July 10, at 11:00 AM at Abiding Savior Lutheran church. Visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Lunch following service. Interment Sunset.
