Age 85 of St. Francis, MN, passed away on July 21st surrounded by family.
He was a beloved father, step-father, grandfather and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. George was born and raised in SE Minneapolis. He was a US Army veteran, and retired from P.I.E. as an over the road truck driver. He was always fixing things in his spare time. He also had an artistic flare he would add to everything he built or fixed. George loved talking about the weather. He and Faye traveled the country through their marriage. Every winter they were off somewhere warm. They loved to travel and get away.
Preceded in death by parents, George & Margaret; siblings, Bob, Betty, Eddie; 1st wife and mother of his children, Joann; children, Jeff, Jodi; and beloved wife, Faye.
Survived by children, Lee Ann, Doug & Greg Robertson; step-children, Steve, Bonnie (Keith), Jody, Sandra, Karla, Candace, Carmen; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and neighbors.
Service on Thursday, July 28th, 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home, 2250 St. Anthony Boulevard NE, Minneapolis, with visitation 1 hour prior.
