Herman J. Mutzberg, 86, of Fridley, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

Herman worked for many years at Timesavers as a Draftsman designing sanders. Many of his sanders could be found in school workshops. He was also a fabulous woodworker, making things from kitchen cabinets, to crosses that hang on the wall. He gave away many of his beautiful pieces to family and friends. Judy always had him working on a new project in the house, whether it was adding a bathroom, a 3-season porch, or knocking out a wall, he was kept busy. Herman was also on bowling and golf leagues thru work, which he enjoyed most of the time! Family vacations and fishing trips were among some of his favorite things to do, as he loved to spend time with family and friends. He will truly be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy; parents, Herman and Agnes; and sisters, Audrey (Fran) Vennemann and Renee (Dick) Charboneau.

Herman will be missed by his children, Paula (Mark) Winfield and Joe (Stacie) Mutzberg; longtime partner, Arlene Berus; her children, Darcy Berus and Arlyce (Fred) Musal; grandchildren, Zoe Hoornbeek, Sonja Hoornbeek, and Nate Musal; nieces; nephews; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services for Herman will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, October 27th at Sunset Funeral Chapel (2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis) with a visitation one-hour prior. Burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.

Sorry to hear of Herman's death, he was a really a nice guy to ask a question about sanders especially in my early days as an employee of Timesavers. 1989-2020. I saw just talked to him at the 75th earlier this year. My heart goes to you in your time of loss.

We will miss you Herman. So many memories from grade school in the neighborhood. Teenage memories of fun with my brother Dick and Renee, Herman and I were best man and maid of honor in my brothers' wedding...Fun day! Herman and Judy, Tom and Ev, Joe and Tony, Herman and Arlene. Through sadness and fun we all were there for each other. All our cabin adventures, lunches, card parties and just best of friends. It will seem lonely going to the Olive Garden, Indian Head Lodge and Red Lobster without you. You were a gentleman and sincere friend for both of us......Peace to all you family....
