Age 82 of Minneapolis. Passed away at the VAMC on December 19, 2014.
After serving for 9 years in the Air Force, Rev. Isaiah Harriday was the second Afro-American to graduate from St. Olaf College and the first Afro-America ordained as an ELCA pastor after earning his MDiv from Luther Theological Seminary.
Survived by Wife, Theamarie; Children, Sonja (Brad) Baute-Harriday, Signe Harriday (preceded in death, Erin), Solveig Harriday and Sylvie Harriday; Grandchildren, Sierra, Tyrone and Sydney; Great-grandsons, Andrae and TyWri many Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Funeral service 2:30 PM Saturday, December 27th at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4120 17th Avenue South, Minneapolis with a visitation starting at 1:00 pm until time of service.
Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Monday, December 29th at 10:30 AM, Section 22 Site 2545.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to ELCA World Hunger or NAMI MN.
