Jean Davis was born February 9, 1942 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota to John and Dorothy (Lund) Gustafson. She was employed as a registered nurse in the operating room of Immanuel Hospital, later Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, until her retirement in 2007. After her retirement she moved to Sauk Centre, where she was met with open arms by her friendly and caring neighbors on Daybreak Lane. They provided wonderful support to Jean and her family during her illness.
Jean traveled extensively; including trips to the Amazon, Lithuania and most of Europe. For a time, she resided in Berlin, Germany. She volunteered as a nurse on a reservation in Montana and was part of a medical mission trip to India with Pat Robertson Ministries.
Survivors include: two sons, Scott (Lynn) Davis of Cleveland, Ohio and Neil Davis of Grey Eagle; four grandchildren, Emma Radzak, Abigail, Amara and Josiah Davis; brothers and sister, Ken (Ginny) Gustafson, Roger (Karen) Gustafson, Kay (Denny) Bergmann and Dale (Barb) Gustafson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the National Organization of Rare Disorders (www.rarediseases.org).
