

Leebens, Jim Jr., age 77, died surrounded by family March 29, 2017 in Minneapolis.
In life, he would often answer the phone “City morgue, Digger speaking,” reading the obituaries each day in the newspaper, he would say, “Nope, my name’s not in there. Best day of my life!” A retired salesman, he enjoyed traveling, visiting family in the Netherlands, sailing, hunting, reading historical non-fiction - especially on WWII, doing household renovations with Carla at his side.
Preceded in death by Parents, James V. and Nancy B. Leebens; Sister, Linda Knigge.
Survived by his Wife of 54 years, Carla Leebens (nee Hoedeman); Children, Michelle (Jim) Leebens-Mack, Richard (Kim) Leebens, and Eric Leebens; Grandchildren, Heather (Doug) Castagnola, Ian Leebens-Mack, Kenton and Nicholas Leebens, Mackenzie, Tyler, Makayla, and Trevor Leebens; Great-grandchildren, Derek, Lincoln, and Hailey Castagnola; Siblings, John (Shirley) Leebens, Mary (Marcus) Swan, and Wayne Knigge.
