Judith Nolting

Judy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana daughter of Albert and Sena Tegeler. She grew up in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University (Bloomington) graduating with a degree in education. Judy was an elementary school teacher in Indianapolis and at St. Anthony Park Elementary School in Minnesota. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Family and Child Development from Kansas State University, and completed a two-year post-master’s program in Family Therapy at Menninger Foundation in Topeka KS.

Judy held several positions in counseling and mental health management in Manhattan, KS then in the St. Paul, MN area. In 2006, Judy and her husband Earl opened their own practice, Northstar Counseling and Mediation Services, retiring in 2009.

Of the many activities Judy enjoyed, she was particularly passionate about reading and cooking, in addition she committed much of her time to her extensive (and loved) garden throughout the Minnesota growing season.

Family was Judy’s greatest joy and love. Earlier in 2011, she celebrated fifty years of marriage to her beloved husband Earl.

Survived and will be missed by husband, Earl; children, Susan (Kevin) Burke, Matthew and David; grandchildren, Madelyn, Kathryn, Laura, and Kate; and sister, Jayne (Gary) Admire.

Memorial Service 11am Fri., Aug. 5 at Sunset Chapel and Cemetery, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE, Mpls., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Children's Home Society and Family Services of MN. www.chsfs.org
