June Lorraine Joseph

Survived by her brother Denis; children, Tom (Jennifer Marrone), Cathy (Tom) Bolstad, Beth, Lori Shaver (Johnny Wenzel), Anne Miller, former son-in-law David Miller; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.

A voracious reader who gave the love of reading to her children and grandchildren, and the loving companion of countless cats over her life, rescuing senior cats in her later years.

June also enjoyed traveling, including many trips to New York City to attend the latest shows on Broadway, the Southeastern parts of the U.S. where she marveled at the Spanish moss and red clay, and Mexico where she loved the beaches and food. June enjoyed the movies and listened to or watched without fail the Academy Awards for 80 years.

After raising her family, June often went on long walks, enjoying the day without an electronic device to distract her or count her steps. In one year, she walked 1800 miles.

Preceding her in death, June met her husband Tom on the shores of Lake Josephine. Tom asked her to hold a dollar bill for him while he went for a swim. June obliged, not remembering, or caring that money doesn’t disintegrate when wet. Memorials preferred to True Friends (formerly Friendship Ventures) or Kitty Revolution.
