

Kim was born June 28, 1957, in Minneapolis, MN to John and Millie (Peterson) Davidson. Kim was the oldest of three daughters who was very loving, nurturing and always helping others. Kim was a talented seamstress, artist, writer/journalist, musician, and angler. She wrote several short stories with illustrations for her little sisters when they were able to read. She expressed her creativity in both her paintings and beautiful dresses, coats, and pajamas she sewed for the family. She loved music and excelled at playing both the piano and baritone. She had a passion for fishing, camping, and hiking.
In 1968, the family relocated to Hastings where Kim graduated from High School in 1975. She achieved her Associate Degree from Inver Hills Community College in 1977 followed by her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1979. She continued her education, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 from the University of Minnesota.
Kim started her career as a Manager with JC Penney while studying for her Nursing degree. Upon receiving her Nursing license, she started her lifelong career and passion as a Registered Nurse at Abbott Northwestern.
Kim retired early in 2019 after being diagnosed with cancer. She was a warrior, survivor, and in remission after undergoing treatment. In retirement, she continued her outdoor adventures and exploring new parks. She developed deep friendships, researched her ancestors, and brought family back together through organized events and Messenger chats.
Kim is preceded in death by her parents, John L., and Mildred (“Millie”) W. Davidson.
Kim is survived by her siblings, Lynn (Stephen) Humbert, and Kelly (Dan) Buvarp; five nieces and nephews Stephanie (Daniel) Flanagan, Jenna (Josh) Loso and Christopher Humbert; Daniel (Taylor) and Madison Buvarp, as well as many other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Glenn Seefeldt, will be held at Nativity Lutheran Church in St. Anthony, 11:00 am on Friday, October 27, 2023. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the luncheon at Sunset Cemetery in St. Anthony.
