Patricia J. Riehl

A proud Irish girl, Patricia was born one day after St. Patrick’s Day in Jamestown, ND. She graduated from St. John’s Academy. There she participated in choir and piano class, which began her lifelong passion for music. On June 22, 1957, she married Charles Riehl at St. James Basilica in Jamestown, ND. Charles and Patricia raised their family in Columbia Heights, MN. She was a devoted mother and active in her children’s activities. She was a member of St. Mary’s Circle at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching Turner Classic Movies and any other movie with her favorite actor Harrison Ford. She loved being outdoors, fishing, and planting flowers.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Bertha Hayes; brothers, Stephen and Daniel Hayes. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 65 years, Charles; beloved canine companion, Mitzi; children, Steven (Sherri) Riehl, Suzanne (Brad) Konsor, and Michelle Riehl; grandchildren, James (Katie), Jason, Kevin (Rebecca), Angela (Mike), John (Dan), Linsday, Justine (Danny), Danielle (Ryan), Andy (Tory), and Lexi; great-grandchildren, Sam, Ben, Elijah, Briella, Levi, Wyatt, Owen, and Emmett; sister, Rosemary Hayes; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10am until time of service at 11am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis. Burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
