Shirley Mae Frederick

Ms. Frederick was born and raised in Glenwood, MN. She moved to the Twin City area and lived with family in their home in St. Louis Park, MN. Ms. Frederick worked as an executive secretary for Peavey Elevator until her retirement and later went on to work as a secretary at Park Nicollet Medical/ Methodist Hospital.

Ms. Frederick loved gardening and summers spent at their cabin on Lake Sylvia. Shirley loved animals, especially her cats and stories of their antics always made her smile. She enjoyed opportunities to travel highlighted by a trip to Ireland to explore her heritage with her sister, Eunice and a trip to Alaska with her longtime friend, Charles Vandervort.

Shirley's faith and kind nature made for many friendships both through Covenant Homes and her churches, Simpson Methodist and later, Aldergate United Methodist where she regularly attended services with her dear friend, Mel Straub.

Ms. Frederick is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Priscilla (Bingham) Frederick; sisters, Eunice Frederick and Lavonne (Warren) Taft; niece, Rebecca Taft; and brother-in-law, Warren Taft.

Interment at Sunset Cemetery (2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN) at 10AM on 2/09/2022.
