of Rosemount, formerly Thief River Falls and Fridley, entered Heaven’s gates on October 13, 2015, just shy of her 80th Birthday.
Sylvia had an unwavering faith in God. She was a long-time member of Grace Point Church in New Brighton, Minnesota. Sylvia had a very humble, selfless nature about her. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them in their activities.
Sylvia was predeceased by her two brothers, Donald and Charles Johnson and daughter-in-law, Krista Dorcas; sister-in-law, Alyce Johnson
Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charles Dorcas; daughters, Jodi (Craig) Nelson and Sandi (Kent) Andrusko; son, Wade Dorcas; ten grandchildren, Melanie, Alexa, Reid, Lance, and Trent Nelson, Aiden, Raina, and Brennen Andrusko, Hope and Cullen Dorcas; sister, Kay (Ken) Ziebol; brother, Clark (Linda) Johnson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Johnson; nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 18th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis.
A Funeral Service will be Monday, October 19th at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at Grace Point Church, 2351 Rice Creek Rd, New Brighton.
Interment at Sunset Cemetery.
