Hammond, Walter D. "Bud" age 80, of Minnetonka, (formerly of Golden Valley and Brooklyn Center), beloved husband, father, grand- father, great- grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 22, 2011.
Bud grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School in 1949. He worked his entire career at the Walter R. Hammond Co., the company his father founded in 1945.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter R. and Charlotte, and brothers, Vance and Jerry. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Hammond; children, Julie (Ed) Pasicznyk, Steven Hammond, and Amy (Craig) Hagberg; grandchildren, Dena Rasmussen, Amanda Pasicznyk, Kaia Calhoun, Connor Hagberg, and Kaylin Hammond; and great-grandchildren, Jensen and Boden Rasmussen.
Memorial service on Monday, Nov. 28, at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior to service. Lunch to follow service. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorials preferred to the Alzheim- er's Association and the National Kidney Foundation.
Bud, you were a kind and generous man who loved unconditionally & you will be missed more than you could ever imagine.
