Brodie Orion Windsong Sterling 17, of Mission died unexpectedly on May 24th, 2013. He was born on January 3, 1996 in Maple Ridge, BC the son of Robert Sterling and Erin Bennett. He attended Mission schools and was currently enrolled at Riverside College.
Brodie is survived by his parents Rob and Erin; his little sisters Kerry and Tralee. He also leaves his closest and dearest friends from school, past co-workers from a summer job in Merritt, BC and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
No funeral arrangements will be made as Brodie preferred to celebrate ones death as they do for birth, to be blessed for all things one had accomplished in their life no matter how big or small. He believed that people should give one a sendoff with laughter, fun and music. He loved seeing people come together, chatting and sharing memories. To Brodie it proved to others just how much the person was loved and Brodie was loved by all that knew him!
We will have a Celebration of Life after all the planning details with family, friends and classmates who want to help out and plan the event is confirmed.
We would like to send a special thank-you to Allana-Lee, Brodies prom date. Brodie would be so proud of her and all his friends who will be getting their diploma this year. Way to go guys!
It is because of Brodie’s deep respect for life and living we would like to share something that was very close to his heart. Brodie believed in being an organ donor and thought it was an honor to be able to give to those that needed donation. If you really want to do something that would mean a lot to Brodie sign a donor card today. Help those that are living to be able to live better while the other has gone home to God. To all those that have come in Brodie’s place to watch over us at this
