Bruno was one of the people who made the community so special when I was growing up in the Chilcotin. Such fond memories of coming in out of the cold to enjoy one of his deep dish pizzas. I know it was a treat for my mom to be able to browse his fancy selection of imported cheeses too. His enthusiasm for nordic skiing really made the winters more fun for many people and the trails still get people out to enjoy them. I hope it is a comfort to his family to know that his memory will certainly live on with all of us who knew him and appreciated the special character that he was and the contributions that he made.

My dear friend, Bruno, may you find your passion where you now are. I remember when you dove competitively and I watched you practice 3 hours every day by the pool. You were tenacious and unstoppable. I remember when you hatched a plan to ski cross country from Toronto to BC and ended up actually trying it, but gave up near Sudbury. I remember when we went camping in January to Algonquin Park and the canvass tent froze so we couldn't take it down and fold it so it would fit into your Beetle VW.  Then you went out West and had all these wonderful adventures I am now reading about. You got married had a child and made many wonderful caring friends... You had a rich life, although too short, Bruno, you are missed but not forgotten.

I knew Bruno from Freybe Sausage where we worked together and would like to speak to the family. I was very surprised to learn about his passing. I am looking at Mount Baker every moment and I have thought often about Bruno and his beautiful pictures of the mountain. He will be missed. Juergen Kuerten,Mission

I think of Bruno often and was shocked to see the news of his passing.  My heart goes out to your Max and Jutta.  Bruno did so much for the Tatla Community and for me personally when I worked for him at the Graham Inn.  I remember him always working on Science experiments, cooking great meals,and giving to the community but never wanting attention for it. We tried to surprise him with a big Birthday party one year but he went to Williams Lake returned late but the parking lot still full of cars and people waiting for him. He always donated to the school and took his big telescope to the school so the kids could see planets up close.  He was a great employer, friend, and I think of him often. It was always fun at the Inn because Bruno was such a character.

Many times my wife and I would be travelling to Bella Coola on business.  We would arrive in Tatla Lake after the Graham Inn was closed, but a knock on the door would bring Bruno out of the kitchen, and he would prepare a meal for us that was the best ever.  I will never forget his friendly attitude, his cooking ability, and his no nonsense running of the Graham Inn.  I am saddened by his passing, rest in peace my friend.  Larry Andrews

Will always remember our many meals at the Inn and his friendship with us when we moved to the Chilcotin.  He had a a great sence of honor.  Susan, Dave Wright and all our extended family.

Dear Bruno. He did so much while in Tatla, a lot of which some never knew about. When Gary passed away he was very thoughtful and a good friend. He will be missed.

Bruno was a good friend. A great table tennis rival, and a guy I could make laugh even when he obviously didn't feel like it. I'll miss Bruno. Remember the -30 Halloween where Bruno cooked for us all and we held Halloween at the Community Hall? I'm pretty sure it was 86. He'll be missed by many. He always did so much. What a great guy.

Sincere condolences to Max and Jutta. Vivid memories of chats with Bruno plus working with him- all the Fell clan. The annual x-country ski treks are family memories. A humble, generous man.

Bruno held a special place in our lives and hearts. We so fondly recall many times spent together in Tatla Lake, raising our children together, skiing and always always .... our classic chef who made sure we finished our veggies before any dessert was served!  He had a big heart and we will miss him. We send our condolences to his son Max, close friend Jutta.

Bruno will always be remembered for his generosity and for all the work he did for the Tatla Lake Community. Bruno was the first to help in any situation and will always be a part of the Tatla history. He will be missed, never forgotten.

With sincere condolences to Max and Jutta.  Bruno and the fun that was had joking around with him many a time at the Graham Inn is one of the fondest memories of our life in the Chilcotin for all of us in the Wickes family.  Never forgotten.

Bruno you stand out in so many Chilcotin stories. You touched all our hearts and were so kind and generous to us. Not to mention your wicked sense of humour. You have a place in so many hearts. Rest in peace.

Bruno you are truly a Chilcotin legend. I enjoyed working for you, under that sometimes gruff exterior was such a caring man. My condolences to Max and Jutta.

Bruno you will be remembered in so many great stories from the Chilcotin.  Thank you for being the best 'first boss' so many of us ever had.  I think of you every time I cut too much off the top of a strawberry (in memory of making your famous strawberry rhubarb pies), every time I pick up an old watch (remembering you with the homemade Geiger counter showing us the readings that came off some of them), and so many many more.
