Shirley Schwartz

Shirley was born in Eernewoude, Friesland in the Netherlands. She had 8 older brothers and 3 younger sisters. On the day she was born, they closed the school to celebrate. At the age of 11, she immigrated with members of her family and settled in Abbotsford BC. She worked many years as a waitress, then began cleaning houses which gave her great pleasure.

She is predeceased by her Parents (Peter, Jane), Brothers (John, Ted, Reink, Rudy, Gerret, and Bob), and Husband Alfred.

Her Faith and Family were most important to Shirley. She is survived by her Brothers (Dave, Harold), Sisters (Anna, Yetta, Dora), Children, Cindy (Philip), Jim (Dar), Allen (Kelli), Grand-Children, Devon (Charlee), Christine (Kyle), Brandi, Richard, and Great-Grandchildren, Leo, Zelie, and Stella.

The Family thanks all the wonderful caregivers from Christine Morrison Hospice who cared for Shirley until her passing.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. North Valley Baptist Church, 32715 Cherry Ave, Mission BC.
