Wynn Blundell, nee Kenna, 92 years of age, of Maple Ridge BC passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026. She was dearly loved by her family. She was born in Lethbridge Alberta on August 16, 1933 she was one of seven children born to Thomas and Wynn Kenna.
Wynn and her family moved to Nanaimo BC. Wynn enjoyed her childhood years on a small farm in Nanaimo. As a young adult she moved to Vancouver where she met the love of her life Aidan. Wynn and Aidan were married and raised four children in Port Coquitlam.
Wynn is survived by her four children, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and preceded in death by her loving husband Aidan and great-granddaughter Olive. Wynn was affectionately known as “Winnie”, Yaya, Grandma and Mom by her family. Wynn loved her family and was in return deeply loved by each one in her family. Wynn enjoyed life with love, laughter and fun at the heart of her relationships. Her smile and laugh frequently brought joy to those around her. She was a committed health guru, way before it was mainstream. She practiced yoga when we were young children and kept practicing well into her 80's. She loved nature and enjoyed many relationships with her companion cats and dogs. As family pets tried to figure out their place in the family they always eventually discovered Wynn was their best and closest friend. Wynn loved beautiful nature, gardens, trees oceans, lakes and rivers. She would marvel at the beauty of creation. Wynn was fun hearted and enjoyed good natured competitions such as a friendly bet with grandkids or even a spirited arm wrestle with one of her grandkids! Wynn loved to dress up and enjoy a night on the town with her loving husband Aidan. The two of them enjoyed meals out and dancing the night away.
She is such a Gem of a mother and friend. We will miss her so dearly. Thank you for teaching us to laugh and roll with the ridiculous! Dad, your beautiful bird is joining you in heaven.
