

Consuelo "Connie " Calderon was born on August 12, 1951 in El Paso Texas. She was the first born to Frank & Beatrice Escobar. She tragically lost her courageous battle to pancreatic cancer on October 17, 2016 in Burbank, Ca. Raised in El Paso, Texas, Connie graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969. She began her employment with Southwestern bell in El Paso, Texas. During her Senior year in high school, she began to correspond with Joe Calderon, a young army soldier stationed in Vietnam. They met and as the saying goes, it was instant chemistry. On February 1970, Connie & Joe were married in Las Vegas , Nevada. They started their lives together in the San Fernando Valley. A few years later, They renewed their wedding vows at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. Connie continued to work for Pacific Bell for the next 31 years. Throughout their 16 year marriage, Connie & Joe had 3 wonderful children, Candida (Candy), Carrie & Jose Jr ( Joey) In 1986, Connie's beloved husband Joe died unexpectedly leaving her to raise 3 children. An amazing woman, Connie manage to continue her career and education. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Redlands University. After retiring from Pacific Bell, Connie started a career with the Los Angeles Sheriffs Department, Stationed at Malibu Lost Hills, Ca. She retired this past March after 12 years of service. Her passions included cake decorating, candy making, sewing , shopping & taking jello making classes. She spent the remaining of her years in the company of Marcos Monroy, traveling to Laughlin & Hawaii and spending time enjoying her children and with her only grandchild, Mia Lee Larosa. Connie is preceded in death by her husband Joe and daughter Candy. She is survived by her daughter Carrie ( Ray) Dominguez and son Joe Calderon IV, granddaughter Mia Lee Larosa, Parents Frank & Beatrice Escobar, Sisters Belinda, Sandra & Norma and brother Frank Escobar Jr. and many family & friends.
