Patricia Legendre Bowman

Patricia L. Bowman went to Heaven at 9:47 AM, November 11, 2015. Pat was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 25, 1929. When she was a young child, her family moved to the Los Angeles area. After graduating from Corvallis High School, she met William P. Bowman, Jr. and fell in love. They married September 30, 1950, and lived in their first home in Reseda, CA. Together they enjoyed family, friends, skiing, camping, bowling and raising championship boxer dogs. When they wanted to start a family, they adopted a son Michael, then soon after they adopted daughter Debra and son Scott came along after. During that time Bill and Pat bought a piece of land on Woodcock Ave. in Sylmar, CA. Bill, being a Fireman and a General contractor, built their loving home where they would raise their three children. In 1992 they moved to Tehachapi, Ca. and built their home where they would retire. That is where Pat discovered her love for quilting. Pat’s last move was to Valencia CA to be closer to her children after the passing of her husband. Pat was a very loving mother and she was always involved with her kid’s lives from sports to school. She was the PTA President of Herrick Elementary school and also worked as a clerk at Sylmar High School where all three kids attended. She and her husband, Bill, also helped in starting the Sylmar High School Swim Team Booster club. Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bill Bowman, brothers Butch and Michael Roy. Pat is survived by her sister, Barbara Polito, son’s Michael A. Bowman and his wife Mary, Scott Bowman and his wife Rhonda, daughter, Debra Rowley her husband, Brian, Grandchildren Eric Rowley, Michael Bowman Jr., Steven Rowley, Brent Rowley, Nicole Bowman, Samantha Bowman, and Gianna Bowman. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, November 18th, 11 am at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA 91345
