

Vicente Bueno de Vera January 14, 1935 - October 9, 2015 Vicente Bueno de Vera, 80, passed away at 8:24 a.m. on October 9, 2015 in Burbank, CA after nine months of battling cancer. Vicente, known to his friends as Vic, was born on January 14, 1935 in Naga City, Bicol, Philippines. He was a Roman Catholic and was married to Milagros Imperial de Vera on June 19, 1960 and they shared 55 loving years together. She survives in Burbank. Also surviving are his children, Joji and Nato Isidoro, Sam de Vera, Sandy and Danny Alonzo, Bootsie and Pancho Valdez; grandchildren, Kevin, Kenneth, Kyle and Keziah Isidoro, Nicole, Kathy and Kristyn Alonzo, John, Matthew and Josh Valdez, Ethan de Vera; and sisters Teresita and Sr. Inez de Vera. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and grandchildren around the piano and on the tennis court.
An electronics & communications engineer by profession, Vic was an astute marketing and media professional in the Philippines. Vic worked as the Executive Director of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP), the self-regulatory body of the Philippine broadcast industry. He also worked as the President/Marketing Director of his corporation, CMSI, and managed various media promotions for prominent TV shows and events such as the Metropolitan Pop Music Festival, San Miguel Lager Lite Concert Series, "Lovingly Yours, Helen" under Ben Hernandez Productions, and until his retirement, as General Sales Manager of the renowned Philippine radio station 99.5RT. Aside from his professional career, he was a Eucharistic Minister and an active leader in the Parish Renewal Experience Catholic Movement, also known as PREX.
He immigrated to Levittown, New York in 2001 and became a US citizen in 2010. In his retirement, he and wife, Mila, enjoyed playing music for the Town of Hempstead’s Senior Centers in Long Island, NY. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, October 14 at the Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary Chapel.
