

Adelina “Micki” Balli, 89, passed away peacefully December 1, 2025 in her home in Corpus Christi, Tx. Known to the many who loved her as Mom, Grandma, GG, Tia Minky, or simply just Micki, Adelina’s absence is profoundly felt and she will be deeply missed.
Adelina was born September 20, 1936 in Pharr, Texas to Arcadio and Celita Lopez and raised in Pharr with her sister, Consuelo “Chelo”. Following her father’s untimely passing, Celita and her daughters moved in with her sister and brother-in-law to raise the girls alongside their cousins as “primos-hermanos.” She graduated from P.S.J.A. High School in 1954 and soon after, met the love her life, Efrain Balli. They were married November 6, 1955 in the first wedding held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Together they raised four children in Pharr, San Juan and Houston, Texas, traveled the country and welcomed grandchildren before Efrain’s passing in 1998. She retired from Cameron Credit Union in Houston, Tx following more than 20 years of service.
Her early retirement years were spent traveling and caring for her grandchildren. She loved to shop and share her impeccable taste and fashion sense. She also enjoyed visiting casinos, mainly for the buffet!, and especially with her late mother, sister, and cousins. She was a practicing Catholic and served as a devoted caregiver to her mother and in-laws in their later years.
In her GG season, Adelina welcomed a new generation of babies to love and cherish, now as a great-grandmother. She was blessed with many cousins who were her best lifelong friends and made new friends everywhere she went. She faced the challenges of aging with tenacity and a wonderful sense of humor, and never surrendered her love of travel and adventure, enjoying one final trip to Coushatta in the final weeks of her life.
Adelina is reunited in death with her parents, Arcadio and Celita Lopez and in-laws, Juan and Pilar Balli, her beloved husband of 42 years, Efrain Balli, her sister, Consuelo “Chelo” Espinoza, and her son, Juan Manuel Balli.
She leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy, One son, Efrain (Carmen) Balli, Jr., two daughters, Imelda (Joe) Balli Davis and Yvette Balli Clark. Six Grandchildren: Nicole (Leo) Ruiz, Stanley (Victoria) Phillips, Matthew (Shyla) Balli, Nicolas Balli, David Clark, and Logan Clark. Seven Great-Granddaughters, her brother-in-law, Heriberto Espinoza, and an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas, 78573. The visitation is scheduled for December 5, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
