

She was preceded in death by her husband Benito Garza Barrera; her parents Dionicio Lopez Olivarez and Victoriana Villarreal; her daughter Maria Victoriana Charles and her son Jorge Luis Garza.
She is survived by her children Dionicio Garza, Benito Garza Jr., Mariana Gonzalez, Jose Alfredo Garza, Caridad Garza, Ernesto Garza, Irma Garza and Osbaldo Garza; over 40 grandchildren; and by her sisters Adelina Lopez Villarreal and Apolonia Aguilar.
Caridad was a woman of extraordinary love and compassion whose kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was the heart of her family, bringing unity, warmth, and strength to those she loved most. Selfless in every way, Caridad dedicated herself to caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. She found joy in cooking meals that brought her family together and took pride in creating a warm, welcoming home. Known for her gentle spirit, she never spoke ill of anyone, choosing instead to lead with grace, understanding, and unconditional love. Her legacy of kindness, humility, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 3611 N Taylor Rd, Mission, Texas on May 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm.
A funeral mass will take place at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 900 S 23rd St, McAllen, TX 78501, US, on May 6, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
