Celia Ofelia Gutierrez

With deep love and profound sadness, the family of Celia Gutierrez announces her passing on December 7, 2025. Born on March 2, 1955, to José Vargas and Beatriz Zamora, Celia grew into a woman whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion touched countless hearts.

Celia shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband of 54 years, Esteban Gutierrez. Together, they built a strong, loving family that became the center of her world. She leaves behind her six children: Waldo Gutierrez (María Teresa), Olga Lozano (Jesús), Héctor Gutierrez (María Camelia), Esteban Gutierrez Jr. (María Trinidad), Liliana Garza (Héctor), and Miguel Ángel Gutierrez (Arlene). She was also blessed with many cherished grandchildren—Giselle, Alyssa, Jesse, Héctor, Yasmin, Matthew, Leslie, Marianna, Briseida, Mireya, Monzerratt, Briella, Arabella, and Michaela—each of whom held a special place in her heart.

A woman of deep faith, Celia served as the choir leader at San Juan Diego Catholic Church, where her voice and joyful spirit uplifted her community. She loved to sing and dance, often filling gatherings with laughter, music, and warmth. Her smile was ever-present, her sense of humor contagious, and her friendliness made everyone feel welcomed and loved.

Celia’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. She dedicated herself to them wholeheartedly and never hesitated to put her loved ones first. Her generosity, strength, and boundless love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Celia was truly one of a kind—a devoted wife, a loving mother, an adoring grandmother, and a cherished friend. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain a blessing.
