He is preceded in death by his parents Gustavo and Dora Lopez Peña; nephew Johnny Casarez.
Gustavo is survived by his sisters Dora Casarez(Daniel) and Delfina Martinez(Frank); his cousin Maggie Perez(Arnold); and by his nieces and nephews Frank Martinez III , Fernando Martinez(Elisa), Desandra Martinez, Federico Martinez, Delma Martinez, Daniel Casarez Jr.(Melinda), Crusita Ramírez(Jesus), Alma Ochoa(Ken), Raul Casarez, Priscilla Henderson(George) and Angie Christensen (David);and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Gustavo will be held at a later date.
