Hortencia Gonzalez

Hortencia “Tencha” Gonzalez, 81, passed away on August 17, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and woman of faith whose life was marked by love, resilience, and strength.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gonzalez, with whom she shared many years of love and devotion. Together, they built a home that became a constant gathering place — the heart of family life and a welcoming space for friends and neighbors alike.

She is survived by her devoted children and their spouses: Roy and Gracie Gonzalez, Michael and Sandra Gonzalez, Robert and Mary Gonzalez, and Patty and Pablo Razo. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Brendan Gonzalez, Roy Gonzalez, Michael Gonzalez, Andrea Razo, Kassandra Gonzalez, JP Razo, Ariana Gonzalez, Kaitlyn Razo, Bella Gonzalez, and April Gonzalez, as well as her beloved great-granddaughter, Isabella Razo.

She also leaves behind her sisters, Yolanda Ponce, Teresa Casso and Antonio Casso; her nephews, Tony and Chris Casso, and Juan and Rosemary Casso. She was preceded in death by her brother, Juan Ponce.

Born on February 16, 1944, Tencha dedicated her life to her family and to her faith. She was the steady foundation of her home and a constant source of love and guidance to those around her. Many in the community will remember her presence at Michael Allen’s Flower Shop, where she helped mark countless milestones and celebrations with care and dedication.

Tencha’s life was defined by devotion—to her family, her church, and her faith in God .Her faith was a guiding light, marked by her deep devotion to the Divine Mercy and Padre Pio. This devotion shaped the way she loved, served, and cared for others throughout her life. She carried herself with quiet determination, and her resolute spirit was matched only by the depth of her love.

She will be remembered for her faith, her love for her family, and the example she set through the way she lived her life. Her legacy continues in those who knew and loved her
