Carmen enjoyed many things. She adored and sheltered many animals, often protecting them from harm. Carmen's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving as she thrived on cooking large extravagant meals for her family and friends. She loved the arts and was a fierce, independent woman who owned and operated an embroidery business in McAllen, Texas for the last 25 years. She has always been described as having great business and people skills.
Carmen possessed an infectious laugh and was legendary for being frequently late to events, most often due to savoring every moment of life (and a good cup of coffee). She carried through life with the mantra: "Don't worry, be happy."
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission at 1:00 pm.
