Norberta "Berta" Jimenez Prado

Le encantaba hacer joyería artesanal y disfrutaba jugar a la Baraja y otros juegos de cartas. Siempre veía sus novelas, y en la última década se convirtió en fan de los dramas coreanos, diciéndoles a sus hijos cuáles debían ver después. Le gustaba mucho caminar, y todo lo que hacía incluía sus pasos. Ya fuera hablando por teléfono o pensando, siempre estaba caminando de un lado a otro.

Era de carácter fuerte y muy determinada, y se entregaba completamente a las metas que se proponía. El día que recibió su Apple Watch se fijó la misión de cerrar los tres anillos todos los días. Lo logró fielmente por más de dos años, hasta que la quimioterapia se lo hizo imposible.

A Berta le sobreviven sus hijos Estephanie Garcia, Gabrielle Prado, Gerika Prado y Gerardo Prado. También le sobreviven su padre Roberto Jimenez, su madre Dora, sus seis nietos y sus muchas hermanos y hermanas.

Será recordada por su corazón amoroso, su fortaleza y su bondad hacia todos los que la conocieron.

El velorio de Norberta se llevará a cabo el miércoles 24 de septiembre de 2025, de 2:00 PM a 9:00 PM, con un servicio de oración a las 7:00 PM en la Funeraria del Ángel, ubicada en 3611 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573.

Su funeral se llevará a cabo el jueves 25 de septiembre de 2025 a las 10:00 AM en la Funeraria del Ángel, ubicada en 3611 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573. El entierro se realizará inmediatamente después del funeral el jueves en Valley Memorial Gardens.

Norberta Prado, known by many as Berta, passed away at the age of 54. She was born in Rio Bravo, but came to the Valley at the age of 17, where she lived most of her life.

She loved to make handcraft jewelry and enjoyed playing Baraja and other card games. She always kept up with her novelas, and in the last decade she became a fan of Korean dramas, often telling her kids which ones they should watch next. She loved walking, and everything she did included pacing. Whether she was on the phone or deep in thought, she would walk back and forth.

She was strong willed and determined, often becoming fully committed to the goals she set for herself. The day she received her Apple Watch, she made it her mission to close all three rings every day. She kept up with it faithfully for more than two years, until chemotherapy made it impossible.

Berta is survived by her children Gerika Prado, Gerardo Prado, Gabrielle Prado, and Estephanie Garcia. She is also survived by her father Roberto Jimenez, her mother Dora, her six grandchildren, and her many sisters and brother.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and her kindness toward everyone she met.

A visitation for Norberta will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel, 3611 N Taylor Rd Mission, TX 78573.

Her funeral service will occur Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM, at Funeraria del Angel, 3611 N Taylor Rd Mission, TX 78573. The burial will occur immediately after the funeral service at Thursday at Valley Memorial Gardens.
