Odilon "Odie" Cavazos, Jr., 63, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg. He was born on May 21, 1953 to Odilon Cavazos, Sr. and Elvira Zapata Cavazos in McAllen, TX.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Cavazos; Children, Rachel C. (Lazaro) Morales, Roxanne (Natividad Cantu) Cavazos, Odilon (Jennifer) Cavazos, III; grandchildren, Deadra Nicole Morales, Lazaro Ronde Morales, Christian Noah Cantu, Nathan Isiah Cantu, Joshua Odilon Cavazos, Alyssa Renee Cavazos; and surviving siblings, Mela Hopkins, Rosalinda Garcia, and Johnny Cavazos.
Family will receive friends Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 4pm - 9-m with a rosary to be prayed at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen, TX. Burial will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cavazos family. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Odilon "Odie" Cavazos, III, Lazaro Morales, Natividad Cantu, Anthony Cavazos, John Cavazos, and Jesse Nino. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel of Mission.
