Rafael is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Salgado; their children; Danessa N. Salgado; and Karina D. Lopez (Eric); his grandchildren; Olivia Debhani Gonzalez, Augustine Lopez, and Aliyah Faith Lopez, his nieces and nephews who were like his children; Jessica M. Vasquez (Mark), Jared M. Gomez, Lillian D Bratvedt (Alex), Leonardo Gomez (Patricia) and Norberto Gomez III; his honorary children; Marco & Valeria Martinez; his honorary grandchildren; Esper Vasquez, Julian Vasquez, Maddie Gonzalez, Elvis Gonzalez, William Gomez, Miles Gomez, Darren Wende, Brent Wende, Troy Wende, Ellie Bratvedt, Aksel Bratvedt, Danika Martinez, Dominik Martinez, Devanie Martinez, and Viviana Andrade. Mr. Salgado also leaves behind 4 sisters and numerous other nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Rafael was preceded in death by his father Rafael Salgado and his mother Eulalia Trevino Salgado.
A visitation for Rafael will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, Mission, TX and a rosary reciting at 7:00 PM. Visitations will resume on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Funeraria Del Angel, Mission, TX and departing at 9:30 AM to the church. A church service will occur at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 5601 N. 29th St., McAllen, TX 78504.
The Salgado family will be having a Celebration of Life on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Holiday Inn Express, located at 1800 S. 6th St., McAllen, TX, 78503.
