Rene was born on February 22, 1954 in McAllen, TX to Raul and Margarita (Ramirez) Acevedo. He was a loving grandpa and father of 3 children; enjoyed fitness and being active; and had a boundless faith in God.
He is preceded by his parents Raul and Margarita Acevedo; his sister Rosalva Acevedo.
Rene is survived by his three children Christina, Rebecca, and Ricardo Acevedo; his grandson Noah; his two brothers and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Funeraria Del Angel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
