Janet Lousie Kunst, age 58, died on Sunday, April 28, 2024 after a brief illness secondary to treatment for ovarian cancer. She was born on May 23, 1965 and raised in the beautiful small town of Cranford, NJ by her parents, Bernie and Linda Kunst, along with her younger sister, Jennifer. She graduated from Cranford High School in 1983, where she was active in the Children’s Theater program as a pianist. She graduated from Westminster College (Pennsylvania) in 1987 with a BS degree in International Economics and Business (major) and Spanish (minor). She then obtained a Master’s degree in International Business Studies (MIBS) from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC) in 1990. She greatly enjoyed her travels around the world for educational internships as well as for pleasure.
Janet began her professional career working for Siemens Medical Systems in New Jersey and then relocated to southern California to work with Toshiba America Medical Systems, supporting the marketing of service plans for major medical equipment such as MRI machines. In 2009, Janet caught the entrepreneur bug and launched her own company, 411 Marketing Solutions. She provided social media marketing and support for small businesses, developing a broad personal and professional network including the Mission Viejo Chamber of Commerce, eWomen Network of Orange County, and Rockstar Mastermind Group. She later rebranded her business as Recipes for Marketing Success and hosted the podcast “Marketing that Won’t Break the Bank”.
Janet was very involved as a church member and women’s Bible study leader throughout her adult life. She was a founding core member of Crossline Community Church in Laguna Hills, CA since its inception in 2004. She loved to cook and to play games. Her friends remember her as a lovely, kind, strong woman who provided much support and counsel to those in her circle. She is survived by her sister, Jennifer Kunst (Scott Miller), of Burbank, CA.
A memorial service to celebrate Janet’s life with be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 1 pm at the chapel at Crossline Community Church 23331 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Flowers may be sent for the service or consider making a donation to the Cares Ministry of Crossline Community Church, a program that provided support to Janet during her time of need.
