John Eric Foreman

In loving memory, John Eric Foreman passed away on Sunday, November 26th, 2023, at the age of 63, surrounded by his beloved family. John is survived by his four children: Nicole, Brittany, Stephanie, and Brett; his four grandchildren: Caleb, Joshua, Noah, and Boaz; his parents: John and Lois; and his brothers: Douglas and Bradley. John was born in Spring Grove, Indiana on June 6th, 1960, and was the youngest of three boys. In 1961, John’s family relocated to Southern California where he lived for the remainder of his life. John’s life was a testament to unwavering generosity, hard work, and an infectious passion for every facet of life.

A proud alumnus of La Habra High School, Class of 1978, John was an accomplished athlete and celebrated as a crowd favorite on the football field, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his peers. John received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from California State University- Fullerton and became a licensed CPA for the state of California.

John began his professional journey in 1982 and spent nine years in tax, audit, and consulting positions with Kenneth Leventhal & Company. In 1991, John founded Development Planning & Financing Group where he held the title President and CEO. John was a pioneer in the field of real estate consulting and public finance and helped implement and solve the challenge of infrastructure and financing that led to the successful development of countless planned communities and creation of housing in the State of California and other states. He was a tenacious businessman that built, mentored, and led a company that will forever leave its mark nationally.

John was also an author of various real estate articles and in 2014 he authored and published “Consultant, Consult!”, making available his real-world experiences encountered over his then 32 years in the consulting business.

Beyond his professional life, John found joy in spending time with family, singing karaoke, going to the movies, and maintaining his elite physical fitness. John's mark on this world will continue in his absence through the spirit of greatness he inspired in everyone he met.

A Celebration of Life will be held on December 16, 2023, at John Foreman’s home. John will be laid to rest at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, California.
