John K. Haubner

Beloved husband, father of four, and grandfather of 12, died October 15, 2020, at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. He was 83 years old. Born in New York City on December 31, 1936, he was a devoted son to Zoyla and Clarence Haubner. John grew up in Bloomfield, New Jersey, with his brother George and sister Zoyla Morrow. John graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1954 and joined the United States Marine Corps for four years. He went to Newark College of Engineering and became a licensed land surveyor, where he was a member of Operating Engineers Local 825.

He married Lucille Sofia and lived in Maywood, New Jersey. He then moved to Mahwah, New Jersey, until 2014, when he moved to Rancho Mission Viejo, California, where his son and daughter live.

John was an avid sports fan and participated in bowling and golf. He also joined the Elks Club in 2019.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years and four adoring children: David John, Mark Joseph, Michael John, and Jeanmarie, as well as, daughter-in-law Dori Haubner, and son-in-law Francis Falino. He was also known as Poppy by his 12 cherished grandchildren: Nicole, Kendall, Samantha, Sophie, Cassidi, Michael, Rainee, Alexandra, Simone, Stone, Carly, and Steele.
