Kris "Kiki" Leinani Nelson

Kris was born on December 21, 1958 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Ken and Mary Ann Nelson. She grew up in Garden Grove, California and attended Bolsa Grande High School. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she worked at Home Depot and then became the caretaker for her mother Mary Ann for the past twenty years.

Kris’s passion…her love, was her dogs, Florence, Brandi, Phoebe and Olivia. Kris had no children of her own, so she would spoil her nieces and nephews in any way she was able. She loved the beach, ATV riding and shooting at the range. Her best friend was her Momma. For the past twenty years they shared almost every moment together. As she cared for her mom, they would not only share a room together, they would laugh, fight and cry together. Just like friends do. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Her father, Kenneth Louis Nelson, Sr., her brother, Kenneth Louis Nelson, Jr. and her grandnephew, Cru Tilden Cummings, preceded Kris in death. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann, her sister, Terry, her brother, Kurt, nieces, Aimee, Kirstyn, Nicole and Brooke, nephew, Sean and grandnephews, Shepherd and Judah.

A private burial at sea will be held off the coast of Dana Point, California.
