Lorraine and Pete were my Godparents. Both always made me and Mary feel loved and special. Lorraine was a very special persons with her sense of humor and the way she always, and I mean always, showed her love, especially her love of her children and their families.  She was beyond proud of all of you.  She will be missed beyond measure by Mary and me. 

I wrote a poem in 4th grade about how I thought, at that tender age, we should feel about the loss of someone we love. I will now share it with Lorraine’s loving family. This is the second time it has seen the light of day so don’t expect much. 

Why do you mourn 
And let you heart be torn,
Do you not know I am glad!

My creator I see.
Do you envy me?
Oh, you ignorant lad.

Lorraine, Nana, my MIL of nearly 39 years

You and Pop Pop welcomed me into your large family while living on Park Drive. I immediately felt at home, as my family/home was also a kitchen one. I marveled at your baking skills, especially lemon merengue pie.  And yes, you were easy to speak with.   

You gave me your youngest son, Nick-a good man, a man with values, a strong a man who was built to love.  You nurtured this.  Your son has been a deeply devoted husband ,Dad, and now Popsy-quite a tree he fell from.  You  were always there, working hard, to  assure he had “the right stuff” during his young years.

Lorraine, thank you for being a very loving , and yes witty, Nana and Great Nana. Our sons, gained daughters and grandsons have so many special memories; more than tongue can tell!  Our family will continue to tell stories of you with laughs and smiles.  And thank you for telling me by note or in person I was doing a great job.  I appreciated that. 💚PegE
PS. I’ll never watch an Angel game without thinking of you, your commentary and your Book.😇

Nana you made an impact on the lives of many people. We will miss you but will also celebrate & remember you always with much happiness and gratitude.

My mother, my treasure, from the moment of my birth to this day, your love has polished and strengthened my heart! You have guided me with love always, with your wisdom, support and the strength that have guided my life and always will. As you look upon us, your children, grands and greats, may your heart continue to be filled with the love and of a job well done! Love you eternally, Pam

We are so thankful for your love and support. Your 99 years gave life to 5, 15, and 27 new lives and still counting! I am grateful  for the sacrifices you and Dad made for all of us. Supporting 5 kids through St. Anne’s elementary and Mater High School wasn’t easy but set the tone for my life. Your talents and unique sense of humor kept us all on our toes and will make us all compete for who is the “funniest” one now. I’ll never forget your stories of growing up on the farm and how you really did walk up hill in the snow to school! Please give Dad a big hug and the Pop Pop wave 👋 for me. If you run into any of our dogs let them give you a big wet kiss! The Nick Harsh clan loves you so much and Whitney and Sawyer will remember you and your kisses! God bless you and know we miss you and will see you again!
