Born the second of five children to Bill and Judy Beaudoin, Mike loved to tell stories about growing up in North Dakota, Minnesota, Alaska, Wyoming, Colorado and South Dakota. That was just the beginning of many memories that were made over the years with his family that he held close to his heart.
Always involved in sports of some kind, Mike found success at Brookings High School where he broke and set several track records along with being named Outstanding Male Athlete as a Senior, he was also inducted to the 2018 Bobcat Hall of Fame. Mike planned on continuing running track at South Dakota State University where he accepted a track scholarship but was unable to compete due to knee surgeries.
While attending SDSU, Mike explored his love for Colorado while working in the summers at YMCA of the Rockies helping in maintenance, building cabins and enjoying all that the Rocky Mountains had to offer. He graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor of Economics.
After graduating, Mike moved to Denver to start his long and very successful career in Sales. Most noteworthy was his company with his brother Mark, M & M Southwest Brokers and his 30 years in the Dental Industry where he held many positions, won several awards including Salesperson of the Year multiple years and in the end retired from Envista in 2021 as Vice President of Sales. He made and maintained countless friendships over the years and truly cared about the people he worked with and for.
Early on while living in Denver, Mike met Laura, his soulmate, they had a whirlwind and magical romance and they ended up getting married in May of 1986. The highlight of Mike and Laura’s lives were and are their children Erin and Alex. If you knew Mike, you knew how much he loved his children and how proud of them that he was. Memories that he talked about often were Sports, CU Events and Dead and Company concerts around the country with Alex, Erin’s wedding in Nashville to Charlie Cotton whom Mike loved as a son and the birth of his beloved granddaughter Peach.
Mike lived every day to its fullest with his unforgettable smile and contagious positive energy. Even through his long battle with Prostate Cancer, he continued to put other people first and enjoyed every moment with his family. He is survived by Laura, his wife of 37 years, daughter Erin Beaudoin-Cotton (husband Charlie Cotton and granddaughter Peach), son Alex Beaudoin, parents Bill and Judy Beaudoin, brothers Mark Beaudoin (wife Valerie, Katie and Jack), Todd Beaudoin (wife Vicki, Sophia and Grace), sisters Heather Maiurro (husband Dan, Brice, Shelsea Ochoa; Abby, Christopher and Eleanor Cox), Beth Inhelder (husband Andy, Kelsey, Tess and Chloe), Laura’s family and the Cotton family who all loved him very much.
