Vivienne was born in Coventry, England just a year after WW2 ended and Europe was starting to rebuild. She was the only daughter of Evelyn and Charles Kooner and sister to younger brother Michael. Vivienne attended Foxford High School studying French, German and classical music, moving to London at age 16 where she worked in the accounting departments of various large companies including Island Records. She met her first husband Geoff and married young, having two children, David and Donna. She absolutely loved being a mother and poured her heart into this role.
With the end of Vivienne's first marriage, she moved to America to be with Terry, the love of her life. Over the next 7 years, the family lived between Montana, California and London to pursue various opportunities. Vivienne had a long career in the travel industry where she worked for Air Malta, SAA, several travel agencies and for herself when she opened her own agency in Lake Forest called Crystal Journeys. She also taught at a local travel school.
With her love of all things French, including her many French friends, Terry and Vivienne purchased a second home in Bellac. They spent as much time as they could there over the last decade, renovating and decorating their 19th century farmhouse, and making warm, lasting memories there with family and friends, old and new. Les Epanours will always be 'Nana's house'.
Vivienne was a remarkable woman who loved her family, constantly putting her children and grandchildren first. She gave endlessly to those around her, whether it was to family, friends or charities. This desire to help and care for others was the very essence of what made Vivienne so amazing. She was truly beautiful inside and out and was cherished and beloved by all who knew her. We will miss her compassion, poise and grace, her sweet smile and laughter and most of all her great big hugs.
Vivienne is survived by her dearest husband of 41 years, Terry Marchwick, children David Coxon and Donna Coxon-McCory, the grandchildren she loved so well: Nathalia, Adrian, Lucia and Valentina; and her brother Michael Kooner and his family.
We ask that in place of flowers, you donate to Vivienne's favorite local charity, Laura's House. It has many programs and services in support of domestic abuse victims including art therapy for children.
There will be a Celebration of Life reception immediately following the service at Lake Mission Viejo from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please RSVP to Vivienne's Celebration at Lake Mission Viejo by going to this page:
