Arcadio Regino Saenz

Archie came from humble beginnings in Dewalt where he grew up with his widowed father, brother and sister and made a better life for himself and his family through hard work, perseverance and determination.

A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend, he passed surrounded by the legacy of love he built throughout his life.

A husband for 40 devoted years, he was the anchor of his family and the proud father of four children. Family always came first. He loved fiercely, led with quiet strength, and was known as the voice of reason—the steady rock and the glue that held everyone together. Of all his accomplishments, none brought him more pride and joy than his family.

He was raised with strong values that he carried throughout his life. As a young man, he lettered in track during high school, a reflection of his discipline, determination, and work ethic—qualities that defined him both personally and professionally.

He made Fresno his home for 50 years, where he raised his family and served his community as a dedicated member of the Fresno Volunteer Fire Department. His commitment to service extended into his career, where he worked for Nabisco as a Sales Representative for 45 years before retiring. Known affectionately as “The Cookie Man,” he became legendary for handing out boxes of cookies to underprivileged children, a simple but meaningful act that captured the kindness and generosity of his heart.

A lover of travel, he explored the world, yet no matter where he went, his heart was always with his family. He was a family man first and a friend to many—respected, trusted, and deeply loved. A truly good man, his presence filled rooms with laughter, calm assurance and unwavering support.

He was preceded in rest by his parents, Arcadio C. and Eloysa Saenz, and his brother, Albert.

He is survived by his loyal wife of 40 years, Miriam; daughter Laura; sons Arcadio (Laura G.), Ruben, and Wesley (Amber); grandchildren Justin (Jennifer), Marijayne, Stone, Sebastian, and Isabella; and his great-grandson, Jrue. He is also survived by his brother Mike Saenz and sister Susie Reyes.

His legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the love he freely gave. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.

Arcadio (Archie) Regino Sáenz nació el 8 de enero de 1945 en Dewalt, Texas, y partió a la presencia de nuestro Señor y Salvador el 16 de abril de 2026.

De orígenes humildes, Archie creció en Dewalt junto a su padre viudo, su hermano y su hermana. A lo largo de su vida, forjó un porvenir mejor para sí mismo y para su familia mediante el trabajo constante, la perseverancia y una firme determinación.

Esposo ejemplar, padre amoroso, abuelo orgulloso y amigo leal, partió dejando un profundo legado de amor que sembró a lo largo de su vida.

Durante 40 años fue un esposo fiel y entregado, pilar inquebrantable de su familia y orgulloso padre de cuatro hijos. Para él, la familia siempre ocupó el primer lugar. Amó con intensidad, guio con serenidad y fortaleza, y fue reconocido como la voz de la razón: la base firme y el vínculo que mantenía a todos unidos. De todos sus logros, ninguno le otorgó mayor satisfacción y orgullo que su familia.

Fue criado con sólidos valores que practicó durante toda su vida. En su juventud se distinguió en atletismo durante la preparatoria, reflejando la disciplina, determinación y ética de trabajo que lo caracterizaron tanto en su vida personal como profesional.

Estableció su hogar en Fresno por 50 años, donde formó a su familia y sirvió con dedicación a su comunidad como miembro del Departamento de Bomberos Voluntarios de Fresno. Su vocación de servicio también se manifestó en su carrera profesional, trabajando durante 45 años para Nabisco como Representante de Ventas, hasta su jubilación. Conocido cariñosamente como “El Hombre de las Galletas”, fue recordado por su generosidad al compartir cajas de galletas con niños de escasos recursos, gesto sencillo pero profundo que reflejaba la bondad de su corazón.

Amante de los viajes, recorrió diversos lugares del mundo; sin embargo, sin importar la distancia, su corazón siempre permaneció con su familia. Fue, ante todo, un hombre de familia y un amigo entrañable para muchos: respetado, digno de confianza y profundamente querido. Hombre íntegro y de noble espíritu, su presencia llenaba los espacios de serenidad, sonrisas y apoyo incondicional.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Arcadio C. y Eloysa Sáenz, así como su hermano Albert Sáenz.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Miriam, durante 40 años; su hija, Laura; sus hijos, Arcadio (Laura G.), Rubén y Wesley (Amber); sus nietos, Justin (Jennifer), Marijayne, Stone, Sebastián e Isabella; y su bisnieto, Jrue. Asimismo, le sobreviven su hermano, Mike Sáenz, y su hermana, Susie Reyes.

Su legado perdura a través de la familia que tanto amó, de las vidas que tocó y del amor que brindó generosamente. Su recuerdo vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones.
