Born, raised and horse fed (lol),in Uptown New Orleans, growing up, Carlos was a mischievous little boy, always getting into trouble with his friends but in the same sentence will give you his shirt off his back. He loved playing football in the streets, fighting, and chasing girls. He was a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan⚜️ and loved Mardi Gras💚💜💛.
A graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Carlos proudly played the trombone in the marching band and excelled in Math and Band, earning straight A’s. Carlos was a very ambitious child, he always wanted to learn new things, especially when it came to automobiles. He can tell you anything about a car and that’s what made him so talented when it came to cars and numbers. His natural gift for numbers and automobiles shaped the path of his career. Carlos became a Respected Finance Manager for several dealerships, earning numerous Top Salesman Awards which led him to purchase his own luxury used car dealership. He always dreamed big and was inspired to do big things.
Prior to becoming ill, Carlos had master plans with an oil company in Houston Texas, and also acquired blueprints for building a subdivision for low income homeowners in Louisiana. Carlos shared his life through love, friendship, compassion and small acts of grace that touched everyone around him. He believed in the power of hope, the comfort of family, and the enduring strength of God’s love. Though his presence will be deeply missed, Carlos leaves a message for his family and those who loved him.
“DO NOT GRIEVE FOR ME, I AM AT PEACE WITH THE LORD, I AM NEAR YOU STILL, IN YOUR PRAYERS, YOUR MEMORIES, AND YOUR HEARTS, LIVE…..LOVE……AND CARRY OUR MOMENTS WITH JOY, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.”
