Donna Rose Williams passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 27th, 2026 in Missouri City, Texas. Donna was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 3rd, 1943 to Norman and Verdene Wolgast.
In death, Donna is reunited with her husband, Jack Williams and three infant children.
She is survived by her children: daughter Jill, son Jack, son Jerry (wife Stacie), bonus daughter Jodi; her grandchildren: Alyssa, Payton, Kelsey, Emily, Maggie, Jessica, Lillianna, Zachary, Chloe, and Skyelar, and recently her great grandsons Raylin and Oliver.
Donna graduated from Emporia Senior High School in Emporia Kansas in 1961. She spent joyful summers at Camp Crawford in Estes Park, Colorado as a church camp counselor—a single step of many in her lifelong walk with Jesus. As a young adult Donna also worked as a nurse’s aid before devoting her earthly work to raising children.
While Donna was a mother to 4 children earthside, many more called her “Mom.” Donna and Jack’s house was a safe place to land for many children over the years, taking in those who needed a family and strong values, including exchange students from around the world. Her personal “taxi service” to pick up a stranded child/adolescents (hers or otherwise) was open for business all hours of the day and night. Whether it was by birth, the blessing of adoption, or happenstance, Donna was “Mom” to whoever needed her, and later “Grandma” (or “Magaw”).
After her children had grown, the work continued as she spent loving days watching her many grandchildren. She brought beauty into the world in the form of flowers as a member of her local gardening club, and intricately crocheted blankets that will undoubted be wrapped around the shoulders of her loved ones in place of hugs well beyond her passing. Some of her crocheted work even made its way overseas to American soldiers on deployments over the years.
She lived her entire life by strong Christian values that she held through her last day. In true stubborn southern-fashion, she had left her husband waiting in heaven for her until she was ready. She is surely walking hand in hand with her greatest love alongside her Savior.
