Alice Patterson

Alice Patterson passed away peacefully at Springhill Senior Residence on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. She is a native of Mobile, born on May 8, 1928 to James Taylor Metcalf and Fellie Viola Christopher Metcalf.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Patterson Howle, and her husband of 66 years, William Lawrence Patterson, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her five siblings: Virginia Belle Metcalf, Anne Floyd Metcalf McDonald, James Delmar Metcalf, Thomas Eugene Metcalf, and William Baxter Metcalf.

She is survived by her sons William L. Patterson, Jr. (Beth) of Panama City Florida, and James T. Patterson (Annette) of Mobile Alabama, and her grandchildren: William L. Patterson, III, Teresa Ashley Patterson, Katherine Elizabeth Patterson, and Benjamin Hamilton Patterson.

By her own account, she lived a full and wonderful life and had no regrets.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Springhill Senior Residence, and especially to Shelia Jackson, CNA, who took a special interest in taking care of Alice. The SSR staff brought Alice in for a soft landing, which is all anyone could wish for.
