Mr. Alvin Hayles Jones, age 89, passed away on September 24, 2016. He is preceded in death by his step- son, Robert Thurston Lewis “Skip”. Mr. Jones retired as a purchasing manager with Courtaulds after 37 years of service. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Virginia Claire Northcutt Jones and children; Debbie Maisel, Angie Jones, John Jones, step-children, Cathey Nemish, Virginia Verity, Donna Larson and Karen Johnson. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Faggard and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of AL’s life will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive family and friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery immediately following.
