A native of Mobile, Alabama and a resident of Loxley, Alabama.
Daughter to James and Mary Evans, sister to Cecil, Lou and Alfred. She is preceded in death by her father, James; mother, Mary and her brother, Cecil
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John E. Walters; son, Johnny T. Walters (Terri); grandsons, Chance (Serra) and Trent Walters; brothers, Lou Evans (Margaret), Al Evans (Patricia); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
During her career, she served over 44 years with the U.S. Air Force, Procurement Division, and the U.S. Army, Corps of engineers, Mobile district. During tenure with Mobile District, she also served on temporary assignments in Honolulu, Hawaii, Panama Canal and with the USA Engr. Div, Europe Frankfurt, Germany. She retired as a Budget Officer with the Mobile District.
She was a devoted, generous and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother.
Amanda will be missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held from the Loxley Civic Center on Monday August 14, 2023 at 10:30 am, visitation will begin 30 minutes prior to the service.
